The first issue of Dazed and Confused was a fold out poster, put together in one night by Jefferson Hack and Rankin, proclaiming "This isn't a magazine". 20 years later Somerset House hosts the 20 Years of Dazed and Confused exhibition to mark the anniversary of a magazine, renowned for its style, culture and creativity.
Featuring iconic covers, photo shoots, artwork, fashion designs and editorial content, the exhibition showcases the photo shoots, cover shots and artwork of some of the Dazed's most legendary contributors including such big names as Rankin, Nick Knight, David Sims and Terry Richardson; specially commissioned projects by artists Jake & Dinos Chapman, Damien Hirst and Sam Taylor-Wood, cutting edge fashion pages by stylists Katie Grand, Katy England, Alister Mackie and Nicola Formichetti, and designs by Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood and Gareth Pugh.
20 Years of Dazed and Confused: Making it Up as We go Along, takes place from Friday 4th November 2011 - Sunday 29th January 2012.
